    I ordered some Crocosmia plants from well known supplier and got exactly the same thing, the leaves do look very similar to the Crocosmia 
    Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

    Lesley said hers bloomed well so she must have had the correct order in the first place, curiouser and curiouser 🙂

    Thanks for your responses one and all. I agree it does look like it is Carex Pendula so I don’t know how that happened.  I can only assume that the Carex Pendula got mixed in with the Crocosmia somehow and has taken over as it was definitely a fully flowering Crocosmia before (I have had it several years as I brought the original to our new house from our old garden)

    I think I need to dig up the original, sort out the corms, re-plant and keep my fingers crossed!
