I am considering visiting tatton Park and wanted views of those that have been, are the gardens good and is there a good display during spring or is summer a better display.

A good garden is good all year - winter walks with interesting and colourful bark plus winter flowering plants, often perfumed, spring bulbs and blossom, roses in June, summer flowers, autumn foliage and berries.  Tatton is known for its Japanese gardens and its rhododendrons but I haven't been to see those since I was a teenager in the 60s.......

It has a very well managed walled vegetable garden and I expect there have been a few other additions since I were a lass.
