Allotment chickens

Hello I am thinking of having chickens on my allotment

Have anyone got chickens on your plots? or  in garden?  How easy are they to look after?

    Sign up for a course on keeping chickens. They'll tell you the facts, not the romantic notions many, ( not you of course ) have about them. 
    My gut feeling is , don't do it. At the very least you need to let them out every morning and make sure they're locked up at night, then there's feeding, keeping the house clean, pest and disease issues.
    I love chickens, but can't keep them because we have foxes live here and I'd want the chucks out in the garden with me.
