Cabbages, walflowers and cross pollination
in Fruit & veg
Living in a very remote area I had the idea that I'd save my Perennial Portugese Tree-Cabage seeds, hopefully to come true to type because there are no other cabbages anywhere near me. Then I noticed my wallflowers just outside my veg plot, all covered in seed pods. I know they're relatives, but does any body know if they cross pollinate?
I could just wait till they grow (my imagination's been rioting over what I'd get) but I want something as close to the huge, dark leaves as possible because they seem to handle the coastle salt storms better than others I've tried. So walflowers, cabages - anybody know?
