Looks like it could be a weed

Hey guys not sure what this is never seen it flower before is it just for greenery or a weed possibly ?

    A. mollis doesn't have spikes, that's A. spinosus.

    It is as diana1 said a beautiful flower.
    They can and do sprout from every piece of root if you dig up or disturb them. They have fat white roots which can snap. Each piece will happily carry on regardless.
    But leave it alone if you have room.
    I really liked ours but it was too big for a too small spot so eventually had to go. It is still making its presence felt.
