I can't see J.artichokes for the life of me (?) All I see are weeds below ; Buddleia on the right and what looks like sow-thistle in the middle ; maybe I'm mistaken .
I agree with Nutcutlet. It's a bit of a thug so I would recommend pulling out some of the roots annually after flowering. My daughter has it in her garden, very pretty, but it does need to be kept in it's place.

Nut means there may be J. artichokes 'below ground' as that's what the plants look like in flower Jerusalem artichoke plants in bloom
