Santolina rosmarinifolia 'Lemon Fizz' -advice please how to protect in winter

this grew beautifully all summer I took cuttings recently from bottom of plant peeled side shoots and potted up in stony Sandy soil in small pots and covered with plastic bag and left in my garage I used rootbooster to dip the cuttings in but alas they all a messy soggy dark green mess please help

    So basically I want take my insurance cuttings and want advice how to protect the shrub that still looks so beautiful

    Not sure where you are based, but generally, Santolinas don't require winter protection. They are however, very sensitive to excessive wet. The soil needs to be free draining due to the rainy and damp winters in the UK. As for cuttings, I don't recommend it for this time of year. They're best taken in late summer.
