If I had a giant trailing fuchsia can you propergate them by cuttings, also are they hardy and if not best way to get them through the winter
All fuchsias can be propagated by taking cuttings. My neighbour has Fuchsia 'Lady Boothby' which is a climber, it grows up to 6ft in a year, which is hardy, and which she cuts down to the ground each Spring. It's not a trailing fuchsia but one you might be interested in.
Thanks Dove, I now have the seeds drying out on paper towel when is best time to sow them and will they need heat?
I would sow now with bottom heat ... remove from heat when seed leaves have formed, prick out when proper leaves have formed and keep frost free over winter.
