Disappointing dahlias. Is it worth keeping them?

    Somethings been eating the pictures off my cardboard labels! There's nothing left but .....tte at the end 
    Here's some pics though


    Why would they eat the pictures and not the cardboard??

    Maybe the coloured ink tastes nice?  Better for something to eat the label than the plant, I guess.

    They're in the a plastic 'coffin ' storage thing .I put empty pots, cushions, labels and tools I might use sometime in there. My pot hygiene needs work, so there's probably a hungry snail in there. I'm almost tempted to put a few leaves in there for poor bugger or maybe come slug pellets.

  • I'd give them another chance, I had better flowers in second year. Leave until frost has turned leaves black and depending on where you are leave in ground and cover with thick mulch or dig up, clean and store.
