Dahlia

if I have a dahlia in a pot , can I just move the pot into my greenhouse over winter? Rather than having to dig up and store as monty did on last episode? Thanks

Depends on how cold your greenhouse gets.

If it is in a pot already , you can just let it die down. Then you will need to keep it on the dry side in a frost free place. If the soil is wet and it freezes, the tuber will rot. I would move it into the greenhouse now, and stop watering it. Even if you have no heating, you may get an extended season from the flowers as the greenhouse will protect from a slight frost that would kill the top growth outside.

It will probably have filled the pot with roots this year so will have to come out anyway, dry it off, check for vine weevil and wrap in newspaper, bottom of wardrobe or somewhere frost free, start of again next year in fresh soil, preferably in the garden, they grow big tubers in a season.
