The 'garlic farm' website has some advice on growing it in pots - they say minimum 6 inches depth of soil, so a potato bag would be fine.

i'm about to plant plugs of cauli, Savoy and Pointy cabbage but will let OH plant his dreaded Brussels plugs. He has black thumbs so figers crossed only one of them actualy grows. I don't like the taste and don't even like teh smell when he picks, prepares and cooks his portion.

I also needed to water the peppers and toms still ripening in the PT so ended up not planting anything before lunch. Just having a mug of decaf before I go back out to play and plant.
