    Technically humans can eat the flesh of a ripe red yew berry (aril) but not the seed it contains ... and not unripe green ones either ... but I wouldn’t advise it unless you know exactly what you’re doing.  And apparently it doesn’t taste of much so I won’t bother. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    I've tried it just for curiosity's sake. it's not worth the risk in my opinion.
