Sowing new lawn in October.
Morning All,
Total garden novice and looking for some advice. Completed scarifying lawn last weekend and as warned lawn looks terrible but here's hoping it recovers over the coming weeks. Plan to overseed but just wanted to ask whether I can do this later this October due to the mild Autumn we're having. I live in the South East.
Any other tips on promoting a good healthy lawn welcome. I laid some seed about 10 days ago on a test area and despite avid watering nothing appears to have taken yet.
Any advice welcome

The patches I have done are in shade too which does not help, but it took near enough three weeks before showing germination. Been hard to keep it constantly moist with the lovely weather we have had.
We now have a haze of green on most bits, but one patch here is possibly too dry, not a sausage yet.
I would not leave it much longer to sow though.
