So, they were in pots this year, and, although they didn't die (!), they produced no flowers... do I keep them in the pots or lift the corms and replant in the spring in the beds?
If they are in pots they need to make a good show so I would plant new ones every year. Otherwise I would plant them in a border in the garden, I find that there are usually some that come up each year.

I have tried gladioli from time to time, but they don't appear to like our heavy soil - the flowers are weak and pathetic and very rarely return for a second year so Janie B it isn't just you that has gladioli failure.
