Seriously think you need to be contacting RHS or DEFRA or someone

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • @Dovefromabove I have sent a ID request to the natural history museums worm man.

In the mean time Wiggle is asleep in a container on my desk  :)

Sorry Hampshire Hog it is this one. Very black with a golden yellow strip. I have found two here.

Could the OP please post a focused photo of that worm? Thanks.
  • Again @Rubytoo I don't think so I did look at this one they are all to flat as the name suggests.

The one I have is much rounder and more worm like :/

Apologises for the poor pictures the top two were taken on my cheap phone camera but you can still work out the general colour and size the third was taken at home on my camera but I don't have a MACRO lens so had to do the best I could with 55mm

I will try and do better next time  :D

    Have to agree that it's

    Caenoplana coerulea

  • Caenoplana coerulea seems the best candidate I agree but looking at pictures and videos of this worm it just seems to be much flatter Wiggle is just so much more earthworm like in shape without the flat edges.
Hopefully I will get the answer from NHM soon if he is a snail and bug eater fine he can go back but if he is a worm killer then !!!!
