Plant ID, please

Any help in identifying this plant would be appreciated. Appeared in the colour wheel feature of Gardeners' World, August 24th 2018.

It's the plant with light blue flower heads at 8 o'clock in the image from above. I'm hoping it's something I can grow easily from seed.

Looks like a Scabious of some sort, but without a picture of the leaves, I can't be sure.

I think it's Didiscus caerulea 'Blue Lace'.

@WonkyWomble grew some when she worked in that beautiful garden in Suffolk and she gave me some seedlings. The flowers are an almost luminous pastel violet/blue.

Sarah Raven sold it last year but I can only find mixed shades now

Thank you both for your replies. I think Dovefromabove has nailed it. Spent ages trawling through books at the library. If i get stuck again i know where to ask.

You are right about the Didiscus, Dove, I have grown it and also a very similar achillea that I bought here in France.
