Climber Help
in Plants
Good morning all,
I am in need of some advice on my climbers. These were planted earlier in the year and have taken off pretty well.
However, I am just after some tips on what I should be doing with them now. Do I need to retrain them through the trellising or leave them as they are?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

No need to do more than train it in where you want it to grow.
My only worry is they do grow into big plants when happy and you may have to put larger heavier trellis in, with a gap between the building behind.
(And not that you have said, but don't worry about some red leaves, they do tend to do that and drop off. Even evergreen things have to grow new ones at some point.
Also have you noticed they have sticky milky sap when you cut stems, so wearing gloves when and if you need to prune it is a good plan.
Will consider the trellis soon then if you think it may be a problem as it will be easier to make any changes now before it gets too bushy.
In terms of training it. Would it be better to redo it and train it horizontally covering the whole of the trellis?
Thanks again for your comments.
