Hello, I have been to visit a family member and this is growing on the roof of their garage.  They haven't planted it. The colour is beautiful.  Thanks in advance.

I agree, that looks like Parthenocissus Quinquefolia, Virginia Creeper.

Is it a menace?  I was going to see if I could propagate it?

It's either arrived by bird or has grown up from the neighbour's side.   Beautiful at this time of year but do be careful about making sure it isn't creeping in under eaves, undermining roof tiles, insulation, water-proofing membranes as it can be a PITA to clear and repair.

It's lovely but yes, only grow it over a carefully chosen structure!

Thanks everyone. I think I shall give this one a miss. It's a shame really as it is beautiful.
