Rudebeckia varieties

I have Prarie sun and butterscotch biscuit which I have not planted out into the garden yet as they have been making nice display on the patio.  Are these annuals or will they come back next year if I get them in ground shortly? Thankyou.

They are perennials , but I would put them in the ground in Spring. If you have somewhere like a coldframe or unheated greenhouse to give them some protection over winter, I would do that, and then plant the whole pot out when growth starts in Spring.

You may not keep the Praire Sun, it’s a biennial. Usually grown as an annual.
The other one should over winter, it’s a cross bred with a hardier plant.
You could get seeds from the Praire, start off next Spring.

thank you both for your help with this.  I'm pleased the butterscotch one is perennial as its particularly beautiful.
