Overwintering Hollyhocks

I bought some very sturdy hollyhocks from T&M some weeks ago, and they are thriving in my garden. But what should I do to keep them safe overwinter? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    The ones I have a very hardy and have never had any special treatment. They were planted bare root into pots a few years ago and are still going strong. They survived the beast from the east and the heatwave. I just cut down any tall growth to protect them from the wind.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    I agree with @wild edges ... hollyhocks are totally hardy in the UK.  Nothing to worry about ... you may need to keep an eye out for slugs/snail attack on new growth in the spring tho'. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
