running a shed from a generator?

Hi,
has anyone wired up a shed to a generator to run a kettle, lighting etc??

  • No reason it cant be done I would suggest the use of a 10mA RCCD at the very least for safety.

Is it going to be used very often or is there an option to rig up a solar panel and leisure battery instead? Basic caravan spec stuff is probably as cheap as a generator now. I use a ghillie kettle, it burns twigs and dry cuttings to boil the water and the ash it creates is great for the garden.
