onions

My onions, grown from sets and planted in autumn and spring,after showing signs of die back, in fact some did die back, have shown a new lease of life and are showing green shoots, should i dig them up and compost them or will they come good

    If you are in the northern hemisphere they should be out of the ground by now. When they died back I assume in mid/late summer you needed to harvest or use them then.  You can still dig them up and use them now but they will not keep (if they have started growing again)
