It's lovely Bryony.  A nice way to personalise something. Hope it continues to be successful for you   :)
The long tails are delightful. I haven't had them in this garden very often but we used ot get them regularly when we lived round the corner from here. Hopefully they'll return.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Fairygirl

Your rockery pictures are amazing ; one question though :- How did you move the rocks into position ?.......Large JCB????......only joking ! :)

Perfect place for some alpine plants though !

Ehhh...'cos they're not in my garden Paul  :D
They're on hills. First one is at Kinlochleven, en route to some of The Mamores - maybe at a round 1,000 to 1500 feet.  The 2nd one is a lovely spot, on a hill near Glenshee, and everyone takes a photo of that little outcrop.
You often find all sorts of little saxifrages and lichens etc in and around cairns on summits too. This one's at the junction of a ridge between two hills in Glen Nevis. Probably around 2,700 feet. Tucked in against the elements. Gorgeous little thing. I often spend time taking photos of  little plants that survive some very severe conditions. It's a different world altogether  :)

Superb pictures Fairygirl ; I wish we had that kind of terrain around here !

I was making a forlorn and dismal attempt of being amusing regarding the rocks being in your garden , but as my wife often tells me :- "Paul , don't try to be funny , it just isn't you" .
Guess I'll go to serious mode again . :/........Oh well!!!!

    Paul - I thought you were joking, but I wasn't 100% sure!  :D
Think I'd struggle to fit those rocks into my little plot  ;)
I'm very lucky that I can visit these areas - couple of hours drive, or a bit more depending on the area. The Loch Lomond/Arrochar hills are much nearer - just over an hour or so.
The contrasts between the rocks and bogs, and the fauna and flora are fabulous. Never fails to thrill me  :)

Very fortunate Paul. I don't take it for granted. No finer place to be than on a summit on a decent day. Makes all  the hard work getting up there worth it - in spades   :)
On a clear day, when I head down the hill near my house, I can see many of the Arrochar hills. When they have their snowy winter coats, and there'a blue sky, it's pretty stunning.
I reckon we're quite well off for scenery in Britain - so many beautiful, and different, places.
