hello, i’m growing brussels for the first time but they seem to be infested by something. Would anyone be able to advise please what they are and how is best to get rid of them please. Many thanks for your help!
My sprouts and kale on the allotment are covered with them, far worse than previous years. I just shake them off when harvesting get huge clouds of them and then wash throughly before cooking. Doesn't seem to affect the overall health of plants .
I find a jet of water from the hose gets red of most of them without using chemicals on something I’m going to eat. A repeated jet of water a few days later usually finishes them off. They tend not to be a problem once the weather turns cold.
