Tomato seeds storage over winter

Can you tell me how I should store my own home grown tomato seeds for planting next year. I’ve dried them on greaseproof paper, should I wait until they are dark brown before placing in a paper envelope. I’ve heard of storing seeds in the fridge, is this suitable for tomato seeds?

    Hi David - I think you're right first time - just keep them dry, then put them in the envelope. 
    It's not something i've done, so if I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    There's a GW article about how to save tomato seed.
    Do bear in mind though that if you're saving seed from an F1 variety, it will not come true - i.e. it won't be the same as the parent plant
