Water and food.   Give it a good drink and some fertiliser.  Bonemeal for general plant health over winter but no sappy growth.  A balanced NPK food next spring for healthy needles and new growth.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

When you say 'a Christmas tree' what kind of tree is it? Do you mean a Norway spruce, like the traditional looking trees that are often used?
Garden centres [ and many other places ] often sell Cryptomerias as Christmas trees.
Having said that - Obelixx has given you good advice.  Many of these trees do get brown 'inside' as they all shed foliage at some point, and most of the green is at the ends of the branches.
The long dry spell this year has meant many of these trees, and other evergreens, have suffered a bit more than normal, and caused them to shed a lot more foliage than usual. If it's in a pot, it will have been hard to keep it hydrated too.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
