sea buckthorn

    Since I first read this thread I'm seeing Sea Buckthorn a lot. There's a group of them at the side of a warehouse that I pass on my way to the motorway. with lots of berries on them.  The ones outside my work are probably still too young (only been in since spring last year)
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    A Russian friend loves the fruits made into jam ... when she visits her Baboushka she brings some back with her ... it's delicious with blini/pancakes and sour cream  :p

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
