Is it too late to sow grass seed.

  • No. Now is the perfect time - damp but not cold.

I overseeded my lawn last week - the pigeons are really enjoying it.....  :s

It's blackbirds on mine.  I don't know whether they're eating the seed but they keep having a good scratch around.  Maybe looking for bugs or worms.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    B***ers aren't they?
Too late here now for sowing - it would just rot [or be eaten ;) ] Too cold for germination as well - too many hours at near, or into, single figures.
It mainly depends on where you are and what your local climate and conditions are, harmony.

Still mid-20's in the S.E. and last few nights temp hasn't dropped below 18C either. Turned the C/heating off mid-May and no need to put it back on yet - it's weird.
    We just DESPERATELY need rain.
I sowed the grass seed early Sept as rain was forecast - none arrived, and still hasn't.

I've flagged the above post by micheleperez to the mods for them to look at.

This is largely a UK based site, michele - so if you're trying to promote a business, you're also largely wasting your time  :)
