I'd say a 2 year old plant might not actually need pruning. Maybe trim the whole thing to just above buds in Spring to even it up?

Ive grown mine from seed and its now 6 foot tall and I will be just reducing the height to about 4 foot in December. The purpose of HS is to feed the birds in Nepal and other countries. I dont mean that the pheasants will fly in from Nepal !!
They provide a wind break . colour , berries and nectar for the bees.

    Photo Please...??

Seedlings easy to identify and move or weed out, if necessary. You will definitely have more than you need!
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Thanks worth remembering
