Red Acers

Hi I am new to this site and need some advice. I have a small red acer tree in a pot that has been fine until this summer when the leaves have now started to turn green. How do I stop this please?

    Different types of Acer do different things. I had one with new leaves of bright red that turned green for summer then brown and fell for winter. In this garden I have a green leaved variety. This year has been hard on Acers because of the weather so may not be a typical growing season. Picture might help.
