Is my tree dead?

Hi there, hoping some can help!
The very hot summer has taken its toll on my potted Italian cypress tree. As you can see in the photos attached there is significant dead/brown foliage, although some green does remain.
Is there any way back or is the tree dead? Will/can the brown foliage go green again?
Thanks in advance
Steve

I'm sorry, that's dead. It can't recover from that. It was a hard summer.

OK thanks. What a blooming shame, I'll not get another one that size without spending a fortune.
I guess it's for the chimnea then.
    Thanks for the reply
  • A tree that size didn't really stand a chance in a pot ... not even in a wet summer  :'(
