Dahlias

I have just found my Dahias tubers, September, that I dug up last year. They are all rooting but as I live in Scotland I'm not sure if I should plant them out, could be frosty soon😀. Will they survive until next year. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'd leave them until next year now. They'll just come into growth and be hit by frost.
    Devon.
  • Thanks, that's what I thought but I'm not a very experienced gardener. Should I remove the roots from the tubers?

Do you have a greenhouse? I would pot them and keep them inside now. They will die down, but it may save the tubers for next year. If you don't they will probably  shrivel up and die.

They will probably grow for a bit, then die down later on. If the utility room has enough light and is frost free, they may grow through the winter.
