What shrubs are these please ?

Can anyone identify what these two shrubs are please ?
Established and very close to the house I just bought, I'm trying to ascertain if I can safely leave them in situ or whether I should perhaps remove them.

The first photo shows the two shrubs, the one at the back and the one to the right are those I'm worrying about.

Thanks.

Shawn.

It looks like Choisya Ternata, Mexican Orange Blossom and Pyracantha, Firethorn.
  • Ok thanks - the one at the back does have thorns - quite long and tough ones.

Neither will hurt the house if that is what you are worried about. The pyracantha may hurt burglars (with luck) if they are trying to get in your window.
  • Mexican orange blossom is the one with paler green leaves. Love;y shrub and very fragrant flowers too.
  • They are both very suitable shrubs for that site. Nothing to worry about.  :)

  • Thanks for all your replies.
    Very helpful.
