hi. Usual request for an ident. We are working on a new garden that has this growing in the middle of a raised bed. Not sure if it’s just something that has set sees or is meant to be there!!! Have tried to take photos of each element

I second goat willow. Unless you want a very ,very large shrub/ small tree, I'd remove it ASAP.

Thank you both - do you think it could have self seeded? It’s in a care home and we would be reluctant to remove if it had been planted by a resident!

very possible self sown. They're pretty much weeds IMHO.
