Leonard

With the Hot weather we have this summer, would it be advisable to scarify an established lawn that has been 'Burnt' in Autumn?.
Thanks all.
Secondly can any one recommend a grass suitable for Dry and shady area?.
Thank you.

Hi Leonard. I think if your lawn hasn't recovered well enough yet, it may not be a good idea to scarify too heavily just now.  Is there any green growth showing?
I expect you could do it lightly, especially if you have some decent rain in your forecast. It would be easier to make a judgement if you had a photo of the area.  :)
Grass is very resilient, so it should come away again once you get some good rainfall.

I don't use anything specific for the shady areas of grass I have. Most G. Centres and diy stores have ranges of all sorts of seed. I've got one of those cheapo shops [HOme Bargains] not far away, and I've used seed from there. Seems good enough. It's alwasy harder to getgrass growing well in shade though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
