Thornless blackberry plant

Hi all,
Wonder if any one can give me advice how to grow a blackberry plant/bush.
Bought one 2 years ago. Still a baby bush ,in my eyes.
Growing it against a fence.
My questions are
1. What’s a new cane?
2. There’s roots that have appeared on the ends of my branches. What do I do with them?
3. How do I train them? Not sure if I’m growing it right, running the branches in and out of the trellis.

brambles are tip rooting, put that tip on the ground and it will root down. A new cane is one that wasn't there last year but has appeared this year.
They're big plants you need some space. Old fruited canes can be removed and the new ones shaped to a fan or horizontally
