Cordless lawn mower

Anyone got a cordless mower, I know they can be dear, think you must get what you pay for, a Bosh is about £290, that, to me is a lot of money, and some reviews on then are good and some bad.

    Price isn't necessarily a good indicator of quality, but in the Which review the lowest priced Best Buy was £350 and the majority were well over £400.  It is worth checking the cost of an additional battery if you have a largish garden.  I know the price for one model is over £150!

    Thanks for all that will definitely do a lot of research before I decide, will have to time how long it takes to mow the lawn, then see the battery life, am sure I'm now thinking about next year

    I've been mowing my neighbour's lawn recently, using the Gtech Cordless mower and have a couple of observations.  It's light and easy to move around and has a battery life of about 40 minutes.  It works really well on dry grass as long as you don't try to take too much at a time.  If you do it doesn't seem to have enough oomph to get the grass into the grassbox and you end up with lines of grass on the lawn and a second pass is required to pick that grass up.  As long as you can work within its limitations it seems a decent enough piece of kit.

    Thanks kt53, for £399 not very good recomendation, but great to have hands-on knowledge.

    I had the Bosch a few years ago. It was light but could not cut both my lawns using two batteries. Eventually returned it to Am*zon and got refund after Bosch said there was nothing wrong with it...………..bought a petrol Honda instead.

    I think it only takes me under half hour to cut my lawn, so wonder if battery will last

    IMO Cordless lawnmowers are not ready for primetime, too feeble. Too expensive. When I see professionals using them I shall change.
