I've just received some dodgy seedlings from e-bay - about an inch and a half tall, so should I plant them outside now (September 4th) or pot them and keep them indoors over winter.
Hi Diane They do sound very tiny and would not flower till next year anyway, so if I were you I'd pot them up. You probably only need to give them a bit of shelter in a cold greenhouse or coldframe. They should survive without extra heat and will grow a bit before winter sets in, then probably won't do much till spring when you can plant them out. Hope that helps GG
Yes, that's very good advice, thankyou. I wasn't sure if I should keep them indoors or not. I tried from seed last year - only 3 germinated and all died when I planted them out in Spring, that's why I thought I'd buy already grown ones. I dont have a greenhouse, but I could keep them in the shed by the window.
