  It’s a datura aka thornapple ... often growing from spilled birdseed. A lot of them are popping up this year as they liked the warm temperatures. Its in the nightshade family and is not edible.

  That looks like Datura Stramonium, Jimson weed.

  Thanks very much Dovefromabove and Borderline.  I've never seen a plant like this before, which is one of the joys of having plants pop up unexpectedly.
