You go away for a theatre weekend , and come back to this!!! What on earth is happening. Left hubby in charge so no change in watering habits and don't blame him , as I am growing them for him( I don't like them) so help please. 😯😯😯

So is the whole crop bad or just what is affected. Do I cut off that ear or pull the plant or pull all the plants and bin them. Only grown corn for two years so hadn't seen this, looking at the article I wonder if it came in by air or manure.

Go look up recipes for it, it's very expensive in south america they love the stuff.

Well I just looked it up @Skandi and at $1 an ounce they do seem to prize it, they seem to treat it like truffle paste. Still don't think I could eat it.

I have not tried it.. and while I do go mushroom hunting (found some very nice ones yesterday infact) I think I would skip it too, well I would eat it if someone put it on my plate, but probably wouldn't try it if my corn caught it.

Thanks @Papi Jo that had given me some useful info. I see Obelixx got rid of them but others have continued growing some on, will have to have a think on whether to continue this year's crop and if I'll grow any next year.
