  • Having found out that carex pendulum is a pest what is the best way to get rid of it?

I spent a good part of a weekend just recently, digging that stuff up out of my sister's garden.  We found the best way was to attack each clump from opposite sides with a fork each.  Pulling it by the leaves doesn't really work - they have pretty sharp edges.

JennyJ, above, has the way. and never let it seed again. and remove the future babies while they're small

Good luck!  I hope you don't have too much of it.

I have an old Flymo, hover type thing. I rear it up on its hind legs (wheels) and slowly lower it down over the plant. It complains a bit but reduces it to shreds. After a few mowings it gives up
