Blueberry plant flowering NOW!

Hi everyone,

Has anyone else had this situation where their blueberry bush didn’t flower earlier in the season but has started flowering in late summer/autumn? Is this normal? This particular bush fruited as normal last year when bought new then started reflowering again in the autumn but most fruits succumbed in the cold weather of winter. Has it just got itself all confused with the seasons or are there varieties that do this? Any advice/ comment would be really useful

thank you

There have been quite a few threads recently about plants that are doing unusual things for this time of year. Most comments have been about our change in the weather. This could probably apply to your query or someone may have a different view.  :)
  • My blueberry, in a large pot, has not had as much fruit this year as in the past, blame that on the weather, but it is acting normal now, leaves just started to turn brown, I always put it in the greenhouse all winter.
