    I have a very dark  area with a tree thst needs lightening up.  This will be just the job

    The original product is a home-made mix of water added to hydrated lime.   Have a look in good DIY centres, large garden centres or agri stores.   Or knit a large white sock.

    It also used to be used to paint the walls of the dairy on the farm where I was born.  

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
