Sambucus, which one is your fave?

I am keen to purchase a Sambucus and am currently considering Black Lace. I want the dark foliage and I am informed they can be kept to a manageable height/width. I notice there are several dark varieties and wondered if you had a preference re flowers, fruits etc. Also, Is Black lace very similar to Black Beauty? thanks

You may find Black Lace named "Eva" now.

Black Lace/Eva is the only one I have. I prune them hard (like Buddleia) in the spring and they stay relatively compact.

Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
