camillia seeds

My Camillia has produced a seed pod (the Camillia is approx 15 years old and this is the first I’ve seen) Is there a “special “way of germinating it or do I just open up the pod and plant the seeds and wait and see.

    Wait until the pod starts to naturally open by itself as the seeds will be perfectly ripe at that point.  Useful article here:

  • Thanks Bob, I’ve just read that article and will follow the advice given, who knows maybe a new variety will emerge!
