I have had a lot of bad seeds disguised as UK sellers. Premier seeds Purple Mystic Merlin turned out to be pink lavatera apart from one seed and I got two Calendula Neon from their batch of Neon seeds. The rest were a mixture of anything yellow you can think of.
I now buy good seeds from Chiltern or Sarah Raven that germinate well and are true to their description. I have not been scammed money wise, and there are many honest sellers on Ebay but I will not buy seeds again from recommended sellers on this forum.
Ok so after I gave them links to thousands of listings showing these scams, told them how to verify that there are no such things as jet black roses, multi coloured petal roses, etc, ebay came back and asked for "more information": " I had a discussion with our policy teams and I request that please provide us more information about your report. We understand why you are reporting the seeds listings however we need any official links which validates the report. Additional information will help us to take appropriate actions on required listings and to educate the sellers."
Educate the sellers!! They know damn well what they are doing
"We need any official links which validates the report."
As I mentioned above. You would need proof of intent to deceive.
I think the problem is with the new model, not the company, so much. Ebay, like Uber etc, is not a seller of things or a shop. Uber is not a cab company. These are just simple algorithms that match sellers to buyers. The problem is that this can be massively useful us - as with a company like Air Bnb, Tinder, Facebook and so forth. But they are not 'companies that provide services' in any traditional sense. They just match up request with supply. Like a 1960s switchboard operator.
The model is not based on the matchers having any knowledge, interest, expertise, geographical relevanceor ethical buy-in to the things or people they are matching. It's not how the model works. They have just copyrighted the maths that allows the platform to work. Like a switchboard operator just pushes in the appropriate plug.
The reason I say all this is that it really helps to know the model in order to know how to approach 'matching companies like Uber or Ebay' with complaints or feedback. We may not like how they work, but the fact is that, currently, the above model is what they are.

Not just those above. We had a "holiday from hell" booked through On the beach .com and they said the same " we're just agents, we didn't "supply" the holiday so no UK consumer protection applied. They suggested we " sue the holiday company in Egypt" Ha ha, as if. Money, money , money is all they care about and wriggle out of any complaints with small print and Ts&Cs.
It is good to know what you're getting into, for sure. I think a lot of people don't realise how much 'provision' has changed. No responsibility or even involvement in transactions. The wet dream of capitalism.
Well, You may have more hope than growing multi coloured roses! Looking at the pictures some are of regular bananas. It is possible to grow bananas from seed. Would be a good plant if it grows

Of course they'd grow. It says "95%" germination rate. It's on the internet, it must be true.
Yesterday I found stuff on ebay and because it said it came from Ireland I looked to see from where as the price was in £. The email address wasn't the same name as the seller. The postal address was in County Down (UK), the phone number came up as Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh and if you do a Google search on the names they are company directors somewhere in Co Galway (Eire) and that's where they're posting the stuff from. Surely that has to be shonky!

They get away with it, so they carry on.
