Yes, it applies to pots in a greenhouse. You can take the science as far as you are able (because we know less about soil ecosystems than we like to think) and try to create perfect conditions for every single plant if you like. I think we all do that to varying extents as gardeners. Much of science starts off as experience then asking 'exactly why is that then?'

That's priceless. She does come across a bit thick sometimes but nowhere near as bad as what's her face on the One Show. Can't watch that at all.
They were also recently discussing the best one-liners at the Edinburgh Festival. She said she didn't understand them as they are too short. She does like it though when they do a lot together. Duh!!!!
