What is this 'weed' please?

I have a plant acting as a weed in my garden. It first appeared last year and has become rampant this year spreading incredibly quickly.
It grows to, what appears to be, it's full height of 0.8m in a couple of weeks and is taking over my flower beds. We are fighting a battle with it.
It is easy to weed out but, if we understand what it is then we can develop a plan of attack!
Thin green leaves with a cluster of small pink flowers at the end of each of the multiple stems

Sounds like some sort of Willow herb but a photo would really help to id it.

Persicaria Maculosa? In dutch it is called Perzikkruid or ‘peachherb’. It is a common weed and easily to pull out in my garden. It has heartshaped spots on the leafs.
