    I had a bloke round to fix my cooker for £200 less than the manufacturer wanted to charge. I asked him to recommend a new one and he told me to stick with what I've got - so I will.

    I am now the third owner of a 1900s 
    black enamel sewing machine like yours @Hostafan1 but mine is in a wooden case. Only machine I don't break trying to use.😊

    I have my mum's old Kenwood Chefette hand mixer. I love it and use it all the time.

    Why?  It only needs a new cover.  My iron is of similar age.  My husband replaced the flex many years ago when it was frayed, it works as well as ever.

    This is my Grandma and Grandad’s dining room table, lovingly restored by Mr C

    I also wear my Grandma’s engagement ring every day ....not sure if that counts as “using” but it makes me smile ......and I know she will be smiling too 😁
