You can apply the nematodes at the start of September through to October,  then do them again in April, that will kill the adults as well next year just in case any grubs were missed.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Yes don’t be anxious over it :) rest assured with nematodes as Lyn says, just follow the instructions on the back of the pack.

As much as I would like to import some of your cool air , at long last we're cooling down ! Single figures tonight :).
With some trepidation I looked at the long range forecast for next week ; looks like  we're in for the low twenties again next week around here . :'(

I don't envy your heat there Paul. I know we all joke about the weather, wherever we live, but I can't cope with it when it's over 20 - I'd never be able to live in the south of England!

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I struggle myself with anything over around 15C ; forecasters come on with silly smiley faces gleefully stating it's going to be a 'lovely hot and sunny day' ; that simply doesn't equate with me .
    Fairygirl , I envy your climate !
  • Back in the house after my nightly hunting for the weevils, it’s decidedly cold out there. Please send warmth!

I know we get a lot of rain [and the other cold stuff ] here Paul - and that can be a pain, but it's what gives us our beautiful landscape. I don't think I could live anywhere else.
It's got to 14 now today, in amongst the heavy showers   :D
    Can't oblige Rickster - sorry!
